Performing Our Passion Since 1970

In November 1970, PASACAT became the first formally organized Philippine Dance Company in San Diego. "Pasakat" is a Philippine Folk Dance, but in San Diego, it became "PASACAT," when the acronym for the Philippine American Society and Cultural Arts Troupe was formed.

Today, PASACAT's mission is to preserve and promote Asian Pacific culture through the arts, thereby, extending goodwill and enhancing cultural understanding.

what people are saying —

PASACAT’s members have a very professional demeanor and were flexible and accommodating. Their performance represented San Diego’s vibrant Filipino community with great integrity made a lasting impression.
— Anjanette Maraya-Ramey, Americans for the Arts Convention
PASACAT presentations…excellent as they were in the quality of dance and music and professionalism. What was most valuable from my perspective as
educator and ethnomusicologist was the degree to which you have trained your students to be active transmitters of Philippine culture.
— Marnie Dilling, Professor of Music, UCSD
